Mossville Boys Baseball Tryouts

Tryouts for the 2017 Boys Baseball Team will be held Monday July 31st and Tuesday August 1st. Tryouts will be held at Medina Fields and run from 9:00 am-11:00 am . The names of the individuals making the team will be posted on Tuesday August 1st  at the main entrance of Mossville School at 3:00 pm. Please email Mr. Wall or Coach McKown with questions.

Back to School Registration Day

Back to school registration day will be held on Tuesday, August 1 from 12:00-6:00.  Newly registering families and returning families who are reporting a new address will need to show proof of residency.

Summer Kick Off 2017

Mossville School hosted it's annual Summer Kick Off on Tuesday May 16th. Nearly 100 students brought their families back to school for a fun filled hour of hands on activities. Students entered drawings and received ice cream sandwiches for participating in teacher led stations. Please see the attached slide show for pictures from the event.

Laps for Life to Benefit St. Jude

Mossville School is participating in Laps for Life to benefit St. Jude. Students will collect pledges and then walk laps on Thursday, May 18th.  As part of this, the school is doing some dress up days:

Thursday, May 11 Pajama Day

Friday, May 12 Superhero/Disney Day

Monday, May 16 Crazy Sock Day

Tuesday, May 17 Neon Day

Wednesday, May 18 School Spirit Day (Money due by the end of the day)

Thursday, May 19 Laps for Life Day (Wear red and black)

Summer Kick-off Event

Don't miss our summer kick-off event on Tuesday, May 16 from 5:00-6:00.  All of our teachers will be here and learning stations will be setup for families to enjoy.  Kids will have the chance to visit stations, get their card punched, and turn it in for an ice cream sandwich.  New this year - selfie scavenger hunt for the 6th-8th grade students!  Don't miss the fun!

IPA Student Recognition Breakfast

The Illinois Principals Association held its annual student recognition breakfast this morning.  Zoe Anderson was recognized as a Mossville School student who exemplifies the traits we are looking for - hard-working, involved in school activities, and kind to others.  Congratulations Zoe!

Special Education Parent Resource Night

On Wednesday, April 26 from 6:00-7:30, the IVC District Special Education Department will be holding a parent resource night at IVC High School.  Parents can learn more information about special education programming and about financial planning for the future. PARCC Testing Complete

We are finally done with our PARCC testing after many long weeks.  The kids are relieved to be done!  We won't receive results until later this summer and we'll report them to families next fall. Thanks to all of the students who tried their best!
